    I wish i would have done that last year - i had some slosh out during the commute home. I got a 55 gallon drum this year to avoid that issue. I will definitely let you know when next year rolls around..

    20 gallon fermenter problem

    If you go to google and search for food grade containers there is a URL that tells you which brute containers and lids are food grade. I don't have the link with me or I would post it. The rim of the container has the markings.

    I agree. A press will not work as a crusher.

    First time with real grapes 200 lbs of them....

    I have seen where they take a piece of schedule 40 drain pipe and drill holes in it then put that in the wine and the racking goes inside that. It allow the juice to flow through it and keeping the skins out

    I like to figure high so I know I have more for topping off later on. I figure 16-18# per gallon.
