That's what mine does to some degree when it is sucking air somewhere like the shut off not being completely off on top of the filler.Sometimes are worse then others. It is stilla far cry better thenthe wand and hose clip. I have found by supporting the vacuum line on top so it is not kinked over and there is no pressure pushing down on the top,it shuts off better. But last week while bottling, when it popped up, not all the way, I just pulled up on the top and stuck it in the next bottle. I run my vacuum at around 3".
